Get ready for Hack2Hatch: From Hacker to Founder – A Weekend Camp for Technopreneurs

Young startups wishing to receive one-on-one mentorship by experienced mentors and founders from Silicon Valley may look no further. Philippine Development Foundation (PhilDev) is partnering up with Developers Connect Philippines (DevCon) to organize Hack2Hatch, a weekend entrepreneurship camp to be held on 5th-7th October 2012 in Cebu City, Philippines. This initiative is part of the “Silicon Valley Comes to the Philippines” (SVC2PH), a four-day mentorship and speaker series aimed at encouraging Filipino innovation and entrepreneurship, and serves as a prelude to PhilDev’s Economic Forum: Harnessing Filipino Innovation and Entrepreneurship on 08 October in Makati.

This event boasts a strong list of mentors, including Dado Banatao, Chair of PhilDev & Managing Partner of Tallwood VC, Winston Damarillo, Founder & CEO of Morphlabs, Founder & Chair of Exist, Catherine Buan Peterson, President of PhilDev, and Sheila Marcelo, Founder & CEO of Care.com. These experienced entrepreneurs have contributed greatly to the startup scene in Philippines and their wealth of knowledge and advice will prove valuable for startups participating in this camp.

Hack2Hatch is free and startups are eligible to apply as long as they are currently in operation and have a maximum of five members per team. Meals and transportation from Cebu City to Mactan Shangri-La will also be provided for startup participants.
