Gaming never looked so good: Razer announces neon Kraken headsets

The Razer Kraken headset has just gotten a makeover. Starting this month, you’ll be able to pick from six different neon tones for the Kraken!

As bright as the highlighters you use to color your textbooks in, the neon Kraken headsets are Razer’s answer to the community.

“Our community has been asking for color options in our product lines and the Razer Kraken Neon Series offers just that,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, CEO, and creative director via press release.

The neon Kraken line is the first time Razer has released a full colorway for its products. Razer products typically come in black and green, as you may be able to tell from some of our hardware reviews.

There will also be a pro version of the neon Razer Kraken series, which will feature a fully retractable microphone built into the headset. Additionally, any downloads of Razer software before June 30 will award users with a free edition of Razer Surround Pro, which usually costs $19.99. This freebie is sort of moot, though, since Razer is running a concurrent charity drive on the Surround Pro, where the software is free to download with an optional donation to Child’s Play.

The Kraken Pro Neon will cost $89.99 / S$149.90 / RM 269 / INR 8,199 / PHP 3,999 / IDR 800,000.

The Kraken Neon will cost $69.99 / S$109.90 / RM 219 / INR 5,999 / PHP 3,499 / IDR 600,000.
