Yesterday, it was announced that Frostivus is coming. Today, on the second day of Frostivus, guess what? Frostivus is cancelled. The cancellation was announced today on the Dota 2 website leaving only a hint that it was declared by “the only king that matters”. Following that, Dota 2’s update for November 10 only has one entry:
Skeleton King: Removed for pressing ceremonial reasons
Yes, Skeleton King is missing from game play. It’s not a bug, and as it seems, it’s not going to be a permanent thing.
Are you seeing a connection yet? Apparently, the community does. Aside from the decree on the announcement board, there are what seems to be other announcements before the decree.

Does this mean anything? Well, we can’t be entirely sure, but it’s always safe to assume that Valve is up to something, right? In fact, Reddit user CapitalDave has already put together a string of clues and possible theories about Frostivus based on the second day announcement. Predictions include the arrival of a group of heroes namely Arc Warden, Legion Commander, and Soul Keeper as well as “something about wolves.”
So what do you think? Let us know in the comments below! If you’re interested to find clues of your own, run over to the announcement board for the second day of Frostivus.
