Online Panel: Startup ecosystem in China

online-panel-china-2

China has always been on the radar scopes of many in the startup industry, with huge companies like Tencent and Xiaomi continually shaking up the news sphere, and not to mention the exorbitant amounts of funding that continues to baffle us time and again.

We have put together a panel of experts to answer any questions you have about the ecosystem in China.

Today’s Online Panel lineup features:

James Tan – Managing partner of Quest Ventures, a leading venture fund for technology companies.  Prior to this, he was COO of Jetbay, a venture-backed, Silicon Valley company that is the world’s largest travel research and booking platform for China; and co-founder and COO of 55tuan (NASDAQ: WOWO), one of China’s largest e-commerce companies with an annual transaction volume near $1 billion. Read James’ AMA here.

Rui Ma – Partner at 500 Startups, a leading accelerator and seed investment fund in technology companies, where she is in charge of all investment activity in the Greater China region. Prior to 500, she worked for nearly a decade in private equity and mergers & acquisitions roles at the Raine Group, Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch in both Silicon Valley and China. She is based in Beijing and has been living and working in China since 2007. Read Rui’s AMA here.

Junde Yu – Managing Director, APAC at App Annie. He oversees all of App Annie’s business across the Asia Pacific region, responsible for developing and driving growth strategies for 7 offices and regional business strategies for App Annie’s products. He was most recently VP of Sales in the Asia-Pacific region, leading business and strategy for the rapidly growing region along with its tremendous surge of the mobile internet industry.
