Hello reader,

While working on the 2024 Tech in Asia Conference Report, one of the things I focused on was identifying the sectors that would be exciting in Southeast Asia in the next decade.

One of them is fintech, which will continue to play a major role in our tech ecosystem. In particular, a significant opportunity lies in moving beyond payments to improve the accessibility of other financial services, such as loans, insurance, and even investments.

It seems the story of financial inclusion remains compelling beyond Southeast Asia, too, given that the two biggest fundraises of the week happen to be for fintech companies working toward this goal.

Here’s to a more financially inclusive future! ✨
