In brief: Fintech startup Niyo banks $35m from Tencent, Horizons Ventures
- Indian digital banking startup Niyo Solutions has raised US$35 million in a series B fundraise, from Hong Kong’s Horizons Ventures and China’s Tencent Holdings as well as existing backer JS Capital, an investment platform based in Israel, Livemint reported.
- Niyo plans to use the proceeds to accelerate the development and roll-out of products, to expand distribution and marketing, and to start exploring opportunities to enter overseas markets.
- The startup has raised a total of US$49 million with the latest round.
