Philippine healthtech startup banks $1.2m from DayOne Capital, others

Zennya, a healthtech startup based in the Philippines,  has raised US$1.2 million in its latest round of funding to expand within the country.

  • Zennya said it has doubled its month-over-month revenue during the first quarter of 2021 and logged a year-on-year growth of over 100% from the same period in 2020.
  • It plans to use the new funds to expand its service to all major cities in the country, with a launch in Cebu City slated in June.
  • Zennya also plans to invest in talent acquisition, technology, and business development as it expands its strategic partnerships with hospitals, diagnostic centers, and insurance providers.
  • While it starting out as a healthcare service delivery platform, Zennya has since expanded to offer a virtual hospital ecosystem that offers a suite of products including telehealth consultations, corporate health services, pharmaceutical deliveries, and Covid-19 tests.
