Valentine’s Day clashes with Monday blues: It isn’t an ideal day for a date. Many people will be hard-pressed to take time out for romance and emails are often the last resort to send sweet messages. I’m sure many of you have already thought of that.
A recent survey conducted by Microsoft proved that emails are the best route of romancing online for Asians. The survey polled over 9,000 people in six countries across Asia and revealed the following findings:
- Three in every ten Asians exchange images with their love interest via e-mail
- Four in 10 Asians have romanced electronically
- One third of Asians said “I love you” for the first time via e-mail
- 4 out of 10 people have confessed to also flirting with co-workers through email.
The survey proved the likelihood for Asians to express their love via emails. Gone are the days when people used to write snail mails to their love ones. The age of the Internet has rapidly changed the way we communicate and I’m sure most people would also resort to blogs, Facebook, e-cards and Twitter to express love. Well, the choice of medium doesn’t matter as long as your partner likes it. Throwing the question back to our readers: Do you use email as a medium to communicate love?
