Leaping to the top spot from position 15 last year, Facebook has certainly come a long way.
A Facebook user has a lot of advantages. The people behind the scene are constantly thinking about new ways to improve our user experience; it’s in their blood!
It’s new homepage, globalized Facebook chat, “retweet” feature, new photo uploader are just some new tweaks that were introduced over the past month. Although some might complain that the homepage design is changing a little too frequently, majority would agree that the new homepage makes navigation simpler and faster.

Google on the other hand, has slipped 2 positions to fourth this year. Is Google becoming less innovative? I don’t think so. Rather, the search giant’s focus and energy have been stretched thinly to many fronts: Nexus One, Chrome OS, Browser, Buzz, all in the name of its revenue equation.
There are many new companies that made it into the list, notably Huawei (#5), a China based technology company, PG&E (#7), a energy company, and Norvatis (#8), a drug company. Twitter is also part of the list at position 50.
