The Commerce Co or TCC was founded in 2021 by Patrick Barnes, a former executive at software-as-a-service firm TradeGecko. Cameron Priest joined the company in January 2022 as a co-founder and director after his stint as an advisor to TradeGecko.

The firm currently offers two Shopify app services. One of them is Addition, an Australia Post shipping platform with subscriptions starting at US$14.99 per month.
Meanwhile, Slide Cart offers a free plan that enables users to make store announcements, offer rewards and coupons, as well as cross-sell and upsell items on their ecommerce sites.
While based in the city-state, The Commerce Co also serves businesses in countries like the US and Australia. They include brands like Barney Cools, Fahlo, and Four Elevens.
