SG fintech firm banks $14m in series A money

Singapore-based fintech startup Sleek has raised US$14 million in its latest round of funding.

  • Sleek was founded in 2017 by ex-Sephora chief marketing officer Adrien Barthel and Julien Labruyere, who previously worked as the vice president of Flybits’ operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • The platform streamlines, automates, and integrates company setup, financial and regulatory reporting, bookkeeping, and banking services.
  • Sleek manages a portfolio of over 5,000 companies, which collectively generated about US$700 million in revenue and processed over 1.4 million bookkeeping transactions in 2020.
  • Since its launch, Sleek has established offices in Hong Kong, Australia, the UK, and the Philippines.
  • The company is also planning to release products addressing pain points in remittances and card issuance.
