SoftBank pours $25m into Israeli investment platform
OurCrowd, a venture investment platform based in Israel, raised US$25 million from SoftBank Vision Fund 2.

- OurCrowd will use the fresh funds to expand its platform, build its investor base, and speed up how it identifies high-potential, tech-enabled private companies.
- Along with the investment, SoftBank will get convertable equity shares in OurCrowd.
- OurCrowd will also enter into a strategic partnership with SoftBank Investment Advisers (SBIA) to consider opportunities through its online venture investment platform.
- The two will also work together to evaluate market trends in a broad variety of sectors including AI, quantum computing, mobility, agritech, cybersecurity, healthtech, and more. The collaboration will also see OurCrowd and SBIA support geographic expansion across their respective ecosystems.
- OurCrowd said that it has seen a 300% increase in new registered subscribers on its platform, reaching 75,000 in 2021 till date.
- New investments on platform have also grown by over 100% to exceed US$500 million in annual assets under management.
- In November 2020, OurCrowd received US$60 million in investment from Japan’s Orix Corporation.
