SoLoMo Thursday: Bad social media and how you can avoid it – 26 Apr

Meet Leon C.K. Leong at SoLoMo Thursday on 26th April in Singapore. The Business Relations Director at Techsailor Group will share his first-hand insights on social media.

Brief:

The pervasiveness and potential of Social Media are well-recognized by companies today, and many are jumping onto the bandwagon without a comprehensive understanding of the Social Media space, or a clear execution plan. It’s free to
sign-up for Social Media, but it can be costly to maintain it. Also, Social Media is easy to use, but not necessarily easy to administer.

This has led to problems with varying magnitudes, ranging from ineffective Social Media marketing endeavours to PR disasters, causing the loss of customers and sales. It is undeniable that engaging non-professionals to manage your Social Media strategy is tantamount to putting a ‘5-year-old’ on your payroll. Social Media is a double-edged sword. You would not want a “5-year-old” wielding it on your behalf.
