Event: Industry Forum cum Call For Proposals on Mobile Media Technologies (A*Star)

This half-day industry forum is organized by A*STAR’s Exploit Technologies together with the Institute for Infocomm Research. The objective of the forum is to update the local digital media industry players on worldwide market trends and technological developments in the mobile media arena. In addition, the forum serves as a platform to engage the industry to call for proposals that could leverage on A*STAR’s wide array of media technologies for the development and deployment of mobile applications.
Mobile Media technologies include video transcoding for mobile/digital TV, mobile image recognition and annotation for interactivity, video indexing for efficient search & retrieval, automated sports/news extraction and summarization for content re-purposing, dynamic advertisement insertion, automated speech transcription, automated language translation and others.
The forum is aimed at locally based companies that are developing or planning to develop products and services using the latest mobile media technologies from A*STAR. It is also targeted at participants who wish to update themselves on recent developments in the mobile application space to better understand how others are applying these and other related technologies as well as to exchange ideas with technology experts in the field.
