ESL Asia launches first ESL Philippines Opening Series for Dota 2, League of Legends, and Hearthstone
After its recent expansion in Asia, Electronic Sports League (ESL) Asia has set its sights on the Philippine eSports scene as it hosts its first ever Philippine league in partnership with the Mineski Events Team, Smart GameX, and Garena. The ESL Philippines Opening Series will feature monthly online and on-site tournaments for three of the biggest titles in the Philippines—Dota 2, League of Legends, and Hearthstone. For the online tournaments, the top five teams will receive league points with the champion being the only one to receive a cash prize of PhP 5,000 ($114.25). On-site tournaments, on the other hand, will have cash prizes to the top five teams. The prize distribution will be as follows:

Top five online winners for the ESL Philippines LoL Opening Series will also receive Riot Points as an additional prize. Interested teams can find registration, schedules, and other tournament details here.
