'Infectonator: Hot Chase' is infectious in every sense of the word
Infectonator: Hot Chase has made our Indonesian team crazy with its addictive yet simple gameplay. Indonesian indie game developer Toge Productions released the game last week as a follow up to the successful Infectonator 2 and Infectonator.
In this pixel-graphic game, the zombie chases the object of his affection (a hot news reporter) who is attempting to escape by running to a helicopter. He chases her, and along the way infects people on the street to gain more health. But as he runs, his health deteriorates. Tapping upwards on the screen makes the zombie move upward (it moves downward automatically) and infect as many people as possible.
Coins and power-ups can be collected as the zombie runs. There are two kinds of power-ups: the first one is for speed, which can be used anytime, and the other one makes the zombie mutate into one of six different ‘powered-up’ zombies. For example, ‘the bolt’ can sprint, ‘the bruter’ can run faster and destroy everything in front of him, or ‘the charming’ is a people magnet.
The great thing about this game is the ease of collecting coins. Some games tempt players into giving up if coins are difficult to collect, but Infectonator: Hot Chase keeps the difficulty level in check. Coins are used to buy characters and purchase upgrades like improved health, speed, and stamina.
When you upgrade the character to be faster, prepare to be dizzy because it is hard to see where the zombie is going. But it is something inevitable.
You can download Infectonator: Hot Chase for free on both App Store and Google Play.
