Hobbyist shopping platform extends series A to $4m
Mercular, an online shopping platform based in Thailand that specializes in hobby and lifestyle items, has extended its series A round to US$4 million.

- Other investors: Cyber Agent, 500 TukTuks, N-Vest Venture, Premier Advisory Group, and Thail conglomerate Central Retail, among others

More company updates
- The announcement comes after Mercula raised US$3 million in the same round in April this year. The round was exteded with Central Retail’s participation.
- In addition to being an investor, Central Retail aims to co-develop a community-like commerce shopping model with Mercular.
- In a previous announcement, Mercular said it will use the new funds to expand into categories such as collectibles, cameras, and other gadgets.
- The company said that as of September, it offers more than 20,000 products on its platform, including toys, speakers, and gaming gear plus computers and accessories.
