On-demand auto-rickshaw portal Jugnoo has acquired online fruit and vegetable store SubKuchFresh.

The acquisition will go toward enhancing Jugnoo’s grocery delivery service Fatafat. Its delivery services are available for customers in Mohali, Panchkula, and Chandigarh.

SabKuchFresh is tied to more than 100 farmers.

“This is a step towards helping the auto drivers to supplement their livelihood through extra earnings,” said Samar Singla, co-founder and CEO of Jugnoo, in a statement. “Jugnoo also intends to create a logistics network for the mass market of India and wants to tap the hyper-local delivery service space through best possible routes.”

Founded by Samar and Chinmay Agarwal, Jugnoo plans to expand delivery to Gurgaon next month and get into 30 more cities by the end of the year.
