Dropmysite, more popularly know as Dropmyemail, is a Singapore-registered company that wants to back up the Internet. It is founded in September 2011. Dropmysite is headquartered in Singapore, and has employees in the United States (Dallas), Japan, India, and Argentina.
Products
Dropmyemail: A freemium web service that backs up multiple email accounts to the cloud using IMAP and POP. Once users initiate the process, Dropmyemail will work in the background to save emails automatically.
The website can also restore emails back to users’ existing accounts, share email attachment and files with others, or view them. It also lets users upload files into the cloud, just like Dropbox. The site fetches email using TLS/SSL when available. It then encrypts and stores the emails using 256 bit Advanced Encryption Standards (AES).
The service has 630,000 registered users on 20 April 2012, 50 days after it launched on 1 March.
Dropmyemail Business: The enterprise version of Dropmyemail launched on 21 November 2012. In addition to the standard features, it also offers the ability to manage multiple email accounts, reporting and auditing of email usage, and unlimited storage.
Dropmysite: Launched in August 2011, Dropmysite lets users back up their email over the cloud.
