Cherry Credits adds second mobile game to portfolio: Coin Hunter

Cherry Credits isn’t resting on its mobile laurels just yet. The Southeast Asian publisher scored Square Enix’s Magnificent Million Arthur as its first mobile game, but is not content with that. It has recently published Coin Hunter, an Android game developed by South Korea’s Entercon.

The free-to-play puzzle game has launched in Singapore, Malaysia, and Philippines, and will soon be available in Vietnam and Thailand. In Coin Hunter, players assume the role of the nyan (cat!) hero Ginger who is hunting coins to save his fellow nyans from bandits. Coins are collected when you connect them in ways that make sense, yet aren’t quite as intuitive as in a typical match-3 game.

There are two modes in Coin Hunter—stage and blitz. Stage mode is a bit like a campaign, where players must face off with clan bosses at the end of each episode. Blitz mode is the player-versus-player option. Coin Hunter is a freemium game and utilizes both in-game and premium currencies.

You can download Coin Hunter here or keep up with the community here. An iOS version of the game is in the works and will be out mid-October 2014.
