Founded in 2022, Charged Indonesia produces and distributes electric motorcycles. The company began by offering three models of electric motorcycles to meet the needs of personal transportation, logistics, company fleets, and ride-hailing services.
Charged Indonesia is currently looking to launch a 16,000 square meter zero-energy industrial complex in Greater Jakarta. The facility will be a research and development center, an experiential center, as well as a production house, the company said.
“We are committed to driving a big change toward the use of electric motorcycles that are affordable, practical, and also attractive to users in Indonesia,” said Stephanus Widi, commercial director of Charged Indonesia.
Lim Swee Yong, CEO of DeClout Ventures, said its investment in the firm is a strategic move. He sees a strong alignment between Charged Indonesia and the portfolio of DeClout Ventures, which has invested in the areas of smart-city infrastructure, internet of things, and clean tech.
Among startups that DeClout Ventures has invested in are trading company GUUD, ICT solutions provider Aegon, greentech service providers Arco and Procurri, neutral hosting solutions provider Dhost, and IoT solutions provider Ascent Solutions.
