It’s the ultimate in selfish, cowardly gameplay: you can’t win using skill, so you fire up a program that’ll disconnect all your opponents, allowing you to get an easy win. It’s a scourge that has touched many games, and now it’s apparently becoming a major problem in Chinese League of Legends.

League is no stranger to this problem, of course, as cheating players use DDOS tools to kick opposing players on foreign servers, as well. But the problem seems to be getting more serious in China right now. Many Chinese games sites have cross-posted a 17173 article about the problem, and in the comments, many users are sharing similar recent experiences.
“On Saturday this happened to me three games in a row,” wrote one Netease commenter. “At the time, I thought it was a server problem.”
“Goddamn, no wonder I kept getting disconnected last night,” wrote another.
Although DDOS booting tools have been available for some time, it seems China’s League servers may be experiencing an unfortunate increase in their usage. And to be frank, the news stories on Chinese games sites this week about the problem are only likely to make things worse, as more people will become aware of the existence of DDOS tools for League‘s Chinese servers.
