Aevice Health is a Singapore-based respiratory monitoring firm that aims to help the roughly 48.5 million people in Southeast Asia who have chronic respiratory diseases.
The platform distinguishes itself through solutions like AeviceMD, a smart wearable stethoscope that has gained clearance from the Singapore government. Recently, the startup secured a new funding round from East Ventures to expand its tech to patients across the region.

Chronic respiratory diseases are an untapped opportunity, said Aevice Health CEO and co-founder Adrian Ang.
In Indonesia, for example, 11.2 million people have been diagnosed with asthma and another 4.8 million with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which causes breathing-related issues, according to the company. Respiratory illnesses are expected to exacerbate during periods of haze or forest fires.
The company said it aims to achieve a level of ubiquity for its solutions similar to that of the common clinical thermometer.
Previously, East Ventures, which is also an investor in Tech in Asia, has invested in several healthtech firms such Nusantics, Nalagenetics, Medigo, and Amili.
