Email marketing platform nets $2m in seed round led by Y Combinator, Surge
Mailmodo, an email marketing platform that helps marketers create app-like experiences within emails, has raised US$2 million in its latest funding round.

- Mailmodo will use the funds to develop its technology, which integrates features like shopping carts, forms, surveys, calendars, and appointment scheduling within emails.
- Co-founded by Indian Institute of Technology graduates Aquibur Rahman, Apurv Gupta, and Devyesh Tandon, Mailmodo said its client base in Southeast Asia, India, Europe, and the US has been growing 30% month on month since the company’s launch in 2020.
- According to the US-headquartered company, some of its customers have seen 3x higher conversions because of email campaigns built around Mailmodo’s services.
- The startup is part of the 23 companies in Surge’s fifth cohort.
