The round saw participation from Global Brain, Archetype Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, and several individual investors.
Established in February by a Japanese team, US-headquartered Autify uses AI to monitor changes in application codes, allowing for the testing scenarios to be repaired automatically. It also provides integration to third-party services such as business communication program Slack, test case management tool TestRail, and continuous integration tool Circle CI.
In addition to exploring global expansion opportunities, the startup said it also plans to use the new funds to help speed up product development and its sales systems.
The company claims it has received demo requests from more than 150 companies since launching the closed beta version in March. It is looking to officially launch the product this month, following further functional improvements.
According to the statement, 92% of the software businesses worldwide are already using agile development, which speeds up software development methods, with 71% having products released at least once a week.
Autify is looking to position its product as an easy and quick option for testing software, which is usually done manually and takes a long time to complete. It seeks to address two major challenges software companies face: availability of capable engineers that can automate testing scenarios and the high maintenance cost of the automation code.
