ComfortDelGro to launch a one-stop app to go up against Grab, Gojek in Singapore

“ComfortDelGro on Tuesday announced the launch of a “one-stop” lifestyle and mobility app called Zig,” Channel News Asia reported.

Details:

  • The new app allows users to book taxis, place orders at restaurants, make dining reservations, find attractions and experiences, as well as search for deals on a single platform.
  • Partnering with companies such as Chope and Klook, the app is set to roll out on March 9 to offer over 1,500 dining options and 300 entertainment deals across Singapore.

Context:

  • More services such as grocery pick up will be launched as Zig onboards more users, the company said.
  • The platform is set to go up against super-app offerings from regional internet giants Grab and Gojek.

Update (March 4, 4:00 pm): This article was updated to say that Zig will look to add grocery pick up services, not grocery delivery.
