One of the most interesting things when you walk around Tokyo Game Show 2013 is that you tend to find quirky games around. Here’s one called Netch, a website that lets you catch actual stuffed toys using your mouse.
The game is simple. Use your mouse to control the claw crane. If you manage to catch one of them, Netch will deliver your prize to your doorstep.
Similar to the claw craw machines filled with stuff animals that you find in the arcade, it is extremely hard to catch one and impress your girlfriend. The service is quirky, but I suspect that it could be silently doing well. At least, we know it’s doing well enough to have a decent booth space at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
One play costs 1000 points, which is about 100 yen (US$1). Unfortunately, with my limited Japanese I can’t seem to dig more into how well the company is doing. But this surely is one of the quirkiest web games we found around Tokyo Game Show!
