According to its website, the accelerator will invest up to US$250,000 during the program, with another US$250,000 in follow-on funding for each startup.
Previously, Betatron invested US$30,000 per startup for cohorts one to three, US$70,000 per startup for its fourth cohort, and US$150,000 for the fifth batch.
โWeโre also enhancing the value we add to each startup by adding an investor roadshow across Asia and North America, plus Demo Days in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Silicon Valley โ which gives each startup the best chance to raise their next funding round and generate worldwide exposure,โ said Sam Ameen, director of marketing at Betatron.
The main focus of its program is to help each startup raise their next round of funding and accelerate business growth, according to the statement.
The sixth run of its four-month program will begin in the second quarter of the year, with applications closing on March 18. Betatron said startups only need to be in Hong Kong for three two-week periods for the program.
Launched in 2016, Betatron focuses on tech companies with a scalable business model and a large addressable market. To date, it has invested in 37 startups from sectors including e-sports, fintech, influencer marketing, legal tech, logistics, marine shipping, proptech, supply chain management, sustainability, and travel tech, among others.
