Asia-exclusive white Mario 3DS XL coming your way soon! (UPDATED)

UPDATE 18-06-2014: Maxsoft has confirmed that the white Mario 3DS XL will only be available in the Southeast Asian countries it ships too.

We’ve just caught wind of a limited edition Asia-exclusive Mario 3DS XL console that will ship this July 5. Singapore game retailers Gamescore and Qisahn have both announced its availability for the country, but we aren’t able to confirm if it will be available in other parts of Asia just yet.

Singapore’s Nintendo 3DS community claims the console will only be available in the areas Maxsoft distributes to, while Gamescore confirms the operating system is a US one in spite of its Asia exclusivity. To our present knowledge, Maxsoft distributes to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand, as well as the United Arab Emirates, and India (via Sunder Electronics, a local distributor).

Qisahn.com already has preorders open for the console, which is priced at S$299 ($238.50). We’re checking in with sources around the region and will update as we receive more info.
