In brief: Line gives up control of its games business to raise $110m
Messaging app Line has sold the majority of Line Game to raise funds for the expansion of the unit’s collection of titles. Some of the capital will also be used to pursue global opportunities.
The external investor, Anchor Equity, provided US$110 million in financing via its subsidiary Lungo Entertainment, according to a disclosure from Line.
