China’s mobile gaming growth continues to slow in Q3

china-mobile-gamer

China’s mobile gaming revenue growth has continued to slow this month, according to data from iResearch. The latest figures, translated and graphed by China Internet Watch reveal that year-on-year revenue growth in mobile gaming was just 72.8 percent in Q3. That sounds like a lot, but year-on-year revenue growth in the previous quarter was over 108 percent, and in Q1 it was nearly 120 percent. Q3’s growth figures actually represent a pretty steep decline:

Online gaming revenues overall reached RMB 27 billion (US$4.3 billion) this quarter, driven primarily by PC gaming. Mobile game revenues totaled RMB 6.98 billion (US$1.3 billon), accounting for 25 percent of the online gaming industry’s revenue.
