EduSpaze backs pre-series A round of Malaysian mentorship platform

Malaysia-based FutureLab, a startup that connects fresh graduates and young professionals to industry mentors, has raked in 2 million ringgit (US$480,000) in new money.

More company updates

  • FutureLab said it currently has over 3,000 industry mentors across Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia on its online platform.
  • It will use the new funds to scale its operations in Malaysia as it aims to onboard an additional 8,000 mentors.
  • The startup also said it will expand its product development efforts, which include rolling out a new mobile app that includes support for languages such as English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • FutureLab’s announcement comes after it took part in the inaugural cohort of EduSpaze’s 100-day accelerator for edtech startups.
