Get hyped: game tournament South East Asia Major 2014 is now open for registration!

Registration for the South East Asia Major 2014 gaming tournament is now open, and a big load of exciting information has been released as well.

Ultra Street Fighter IV, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, The King Of Fighters XIII, Blazblue Chronophantasma, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and Hearthstone will be played at the tournament, which will take place at the Alienware Arena in Lucky Chinatown, Singapore.

In addition, a page for prizes and schedule has been set up, where tournament hopefuls can get more details about their respective tournament formats and starting times, as well as a look at the prizes that are available.

The top prize for the Ultra Street Fighter IV tournament is easily the most attractive—the champion for that tournament will walk away with $700 plus 50 percent of the prize pot, in addition to an automatic qualifying spot to the Capcom Cup Finals.

This will be the first major tournament in the world where Ultra Street Fighter IV will be played, following its June release for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. In addition, the South East Asian Major will also be one of only eight premier events in the Capcom Pro Tour, a global league of tournaments for Ultra Street Fighter IV.

Knowing this, you can bet a pretty penny that a large number of people all around the world will be watching the livestream to get a glimpse of Ultra Street Fighter IV’s new metagame and strategies.
