An online quick-order restaurant, a film discovery site, and a startup that gives you cash for your trash (well, special types of trash) all make our daily funding list.

Bangalore-based foodtech startup Petoo, has raised US$500,000 from its existing investors and high net-worth individuals. The deal was struck through Letsventure, an online portal that connects companies with investors and startup programs.

Petoo has been working on researching food preservation beyond preservatives and refrigeration, and creating new products. It currently delivers to 11 locations in Bangalore and wants to expand to more.

Founded last year by Ritesh Dwivedy, Abhishek Mandal, and Kumar Setu, Petoo also secured funding in April. It is an online restaurant that deals in Indian dishes.

If you’re a big Bollywood fan and can’t wait to get the latest updates on upcoming movies, maybe Flickbay is for you. The film discovery startup has just raised nearly US$900,000 in seed funding from Paul Roy, who is chairman of Dubai-based Riva Digital.

The startup is backed by actor/movie director Farhan Akhtar.

Run by Picdot, Flickbay was founded last year by Trishant Sidhwani and Vishal Ramchandani. Excel Entertainment, a movie production house, incubated the startup. Similar to IMDB – the Internet Movie Database – users can find trailers, news, songs, reviews, ratings, and box office information about movies playing in theaters and on TV.
