In brief: Indian car marketplace Cars24 gets series D investment from pro cricketer
- Cars24, an Indian car marketplace, has announced a strategic partnership with international cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni as it further strengthens its brand and continues to expand across markets, Livemint reported.
- Under the deal, Dhoni will own equity in Cars24 and will act as its brand ambassador.
- The amount of his investment, which is part of the startup’s series D funding round, was not disclosed.
- Cars24 recently announced its foray into the franchise model and intends to scale up its presence in more than 300 tier two, three, and four markets by 2021.
