Canva reaches $40b valuation after $200m raise
“Canva’s valuation hit US$40 billion after the Australian design-collaboration platform raised US$200 million in fresh capital, making it one of the world’s most valuable private software companies,” reported Bloomberg.

- The firm is now the fifth most valuable startup in the world following the fundraise, which was led by T. Rowe Price, the report noted citing data from research firm CB Insights.
- Canva is eyeing further developments for its product after seeing potential growth in the portfolio website space.

- Canva, which offers a digital platform for layout and design, saw its total monthly active users jump to 60 million during the pandemic, largely due to its collaboration features. It has also opened premium features for academic users.
