As I scoured the internet for interesting news to put in this edition of the newsletter, I came across a lot of AI stories. No surprise there: Ultimately, three of the five pieces I linked to are about AI in some way or form, touching on its potential for good (healthcare booster), bad (environmental effects), and… ugly (a messy, FOMO-driven funding scene).
Anyway, this reminded me of the importance of looking at any given matter from all sides before making a decision. A measured, informed approach may not be sexy, but I think it’s the way to go if we want to make a sustainable, positive difference.
In a tech world that’s zooming forward all the time, maybe it would be better to take things step by step instead.

The biggest deals by country
🇮🇳 Based in India, cleantech firm Continuum Wind Energy has closed a US$150 million round from Just Climate.
🇮🇩 Finture, an Indonesian fintech firm that collaborates with financial institutions to provide pay-later products using card payment instruments, has secured US$30 million in series B funding. Investors include Antao Capital, Mindworks Capital, and Richen Capital.
🇸🇬 Singapore-based Sleekflow Technologies, which builds AI-powered omnichannel conversation cloud for businesses, secured US$7 million in a Series A+ funding round led by Atinum Investment. This brings its total funding to US$15 million.
🇰🇷 South Korea’s Storelink has raised US$15 million from its series C round of funding. CJ Investment, Evergreen Investment Partners, and Hana Ventures among those that backed the performance marketing analytics platform.
