Grand Indonesia Shopping Town is one of the biggest shopping malls (well, they call it a ‘town’) in Jakarta and is well-known as a place to hang out, with plenty of fancy restaurants. As a promotion during Ramadhan, GIST is inviting bloggers to make a post about their culinary experience or a review about one of the restaurants at GIST on their blogs. GIST management will read the posts and select a number of bloggers to come enjoy some free food at one of the restaurants.
That’s not all. Those chosen geeks can enter into three extra contests related to the Buka Bareng Blogger event. One is blogging about the event; another is a photography contest at the host restaurant in which bloggers can snap the food, the venue interior and the event itself; and the last challenge is to live-tweet the competition during the event. As the grand prize, GIST will gift an iPad to the winner.
This event will definitely attract bloggers, especially those who are food lovers. It’s great to be able to take part in a fun activity while social networking in a favorite shopping place, and get the chance to taste lots of different food. And it’s especially fantastic to get the chance to win an iPad.
