Traveloka, an Indonesia-based lifestyle super app, has launched Traveloka Send, its on-demand logistics service. The feature is currently available in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi, enabling deliveries with a maximum distance of 12 kilometers.

In its terms and conditions, the firm outlines the types of products that it allows to be shipped using its service. Goods cannot exceed 5 kilograms, and objects that cannot be sent through the service include cash, perishables, products worth over 500,000 rupiah (US$33.54), and illicit items.
Initially known as a digital travel agency, Traveloka has been branching out into other verticals in its efforts to become a super app. Other services it offers include food delivery through Traveloka Eats and healthcare platform Traveloka Health. The firm also offers a buy now, pay later service as well as bills payment and credit top-up features on its app.
Indonesia has become a breeding ground for super apps, with Traveloka’s largest local competitors being Gojek, Tokopedia, and Bukalapak.
After its failed SPAC merger last year, Traveloka was in talks of raising US$200 million in June. The firm had been valued at US$3 billion after raising a total of US$1.2 billion in investments.
