Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete Edition gameplay movie

Tecmo Koei just revealed a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming expansion to Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends for the PS4, and I have to say, it looks beautiful. I just recently finished playing through Dynasty Warriors Next for the Vita, and loved the god-like experience that it gives you. As far as I can tell from the video, Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete Edition only improves upon what makes the hack-and-slash series so special.

A couple things to note from the video: aside from the upgraded graphics and levels, this new version’s characters have been given a massive overhaul which may have included performance-enhancing drugs. Just look at Lu Bu! Not only does he stand a good two feet taller than everyone around him, but his attack series has been lengthened and has a couple extra special attacks in his arsenal.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete Edition is one of the launch titles for the PS4 in Japan and will be released on February 22. Unfortunately for us, we will have to wait until March 24 for the international release on the PS3, PS4, and Vita.
