Bukalapak in talks with local billionaire’s business for potential partnership
“Indonesian ecommerce company Bukalapak is seeking to partner with local billionaire Anthoni Salim’s business empire, which spans food, banking, retail and telecommunications,” Bloomberg reported.
Details:
- The Jakarta-based firm is currently in talks to enter a number of partnerships with Salim’s businesses, Bukalapak president Teddy Oetomo said in a conference call.
- The broad deal could also involve Emtek Group, the ecommerce firm’s largest shareholder, in which Salim owns a 9% stake. However, the details have not been finalized.
