Blogs and Purchase Decisions [CHARTS]

blogPrint advertisements and magazines used to be our main source of product information. But with the rise of the Internet, search engines and blogs have taken up the responsibilities. We can easily search and learn about a product within minutes.

Product reviews are everywhere on the Internet and they are usually accompanied with users’ comments and reviews. We don’t know these people but unconsciously, their reviews do affect our purchase decisions.

A survey conducted by HubSpot has the same conclusion: Blogs do affect our purchase decision.

More than 70 percent of the people surveyed responded that blogs do affect purchasing decision. About 60 percent said ‘somewhat’ while 10 percent said ‘very much’. Blogs are also well-received people on the web. About 75 percent of the respondents stated that they read blogs at least once a day. Almost 50 percent of the respondents declared that they read blog more than once a day. Most of the people also read about 5 to 10 different blogs on the web. Surprising, about 10 percent of the respondents have a range of 50 blogs, which they are learning from. With so much demand for content and point of views, it somehow explained why there are so many blogs on the Internet.
