In brief: E-ticketing platform GlobalTix raises $9m from Tin Men Capital
Singapore-headquartered GlobalTix has announced the completion of a US$9 million “growth investment round” from Tin Men Capital.
Founded by the Chan brothers – Chee Chong and Chee Kong – the company owns and operates an e-ticketing platform serving the tourism industry by helping travellers book tourist attractions with online and offline travel agents across the globe.
The startup handles over US$75 million worth of transactions annually, and works with big companies such as Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Airlines, and Trip Advisor. It has offices in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
“We are elated to come together to chart the future together across the broader Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Already, we have identified markets and partners from our operating network to kickstart the effort,” said Tin Men co-founder Jeremy Tan.
