Temasek’s VC arm secures $230m for Southeast Asia fund

Singapore-based Vertex Venture Holdings has raised US$230 million in the first close of its fourth Southeast Asian fund.

The venture capital arm of sovereign wealth fund Temasek Holdings said it expects to do a final close over the next few months.

The fund will focus on early-stage startups in enterprise technology, fintech, and consumer internet sectors.

According to Bloomberg, most of the investors in Vertex’s third fund, including Cathay Financial Holding Co., also invested in the fourth fund.
