Grow Impact Accelerator has announced its third cohort, which will see each of 10 international agrifoodtech startups receive an investment of US$100,000 in cash and in kind as the accelerator looks to foster startups that drive sustainability and resilience in the global food system.

Curated from a pool over 360 participants across 78 countries, the selected startups in the cohort can also raise follow-on funding from program backer AgFunder, a VC firm, and its network of partners. The program aims to support startups that can help create a more sustainable and equitable food system.
The areas of focus for the accelerator include planetary health, improved soil management, carbon sequestration, sustainable materials, packaging, aquaculture, marine conservation, and functional ingredients.
The teams selected are:
- 3Bee (Italy): A cloud-based farm management system for beekeepers combined with marketplace technology, driving transparency and traceability in global honey production.
- Decomer Technology (Estonia): An all-natural, plant-based, and functional food-grade packaging for food manufacturers and fast-moving consumer goods.
- LYRO Robotics (Australia): A next-generation robotic solution for food packing that works to alleviate manpower constraints and improve efficiency on the line.
- Mycotech Lab (Indonesia): The firm designs and produces mycelium-based goods such as animal-free leather and building materials from agricultural waste streams, including corn, oil palm, etc.
- Nubocha (US): A dairy-free, sugar-free, and keto-friendly artisanal gelato brand committed to sustainability, traceability, and owning part of the supply chain.
- Phagos (France): Addressing the looming pandemic of antibiotic resistance with bacteriophage solutions to efficiently address bacterial infections in seafood and livestock.
- Tepbac (Vietnam): It aims to shake up Vietnam’s aquaculture industry with a comprehensive suite of software and hardware solutions.
- Veggie Victory (Nigeria): The startup offers affordable plant-based meat alternatives that match local tastes and textures while addressing chronic protein deficiency among African consumers.
- X-Centric Sciences (US): The company provides instrumentation systems for soil carbon analysis, allowing efficient and streamlined acquisition of vertically stratified, geochemical carbon data.
- Yeap Proteins (Israel): The firm offers a yeast-based protein source made from industrial side streams that can be used as a functional ingredient, bulking ingredient, or concentrated protein powder.
