Antler-backed insurtech firm banks $1m in seed money
Singapore-based insurtech firm Surer has raised US$1 million in its latest round of funding.

- Surer will use the new funds to develop its core platform and increase hiring for its tech team.
- Launched in September 2020, Surer is a cloud-based insurtech platform that helps insurance intermediaries and insurers control workflows, processes, recruitment, and distribution of products.
- Since its launch, there have been over 350 intermediary sign-ups and demo requests as well as about 1,000 insurance proposals on the platform. More than S$1.2 million (US$889,149) in gross written premiums (GWP) have also been transacted on Surer.
- The company expects the GWP amount transacted on its platform to cross the S$2 million (US$1.5 million) mark by the end of 2021.
- Surer was also part of Antler’s Covid-19 initiative, where the investment firm backed 12 startups operating in the software-as-a-service, fintech, healthtech, AI, insurtech, and art tech sectors, among others.
