Hanet offers cameras backed by an AI chip that enables its products to speed up analysis and help companies reduce investment costs.
Its home camera product is used for family protection while its office-centered cameras, which offer easier access controls, allow companies to automate timekeeping. Hanet also creates products that enable businesses to automate customer counting, business analysis, and theft protection.
Hanet said its products can be used for street surveillance as well – something that Vietnam currently lacks – to help solve traffic offenses, prevent child abduction, and increase overall security.
“A distinguishing feature is that [G-Group and Hanet] share a joint mission to contribute to a safer and better society through technology,” said G-Group CEO Phung Anh Tu. “G-Group will not only invest with capital but will also commit to support other synergistic values and help Hanet realize its vision.”
G-Group is Vietnamese tech major that invests mainly in three sectors: fintech, media tech, and cybersecurity. Its ecosystem currently includes 11 member companies and serves 30 million users across its platforms.
It is behind other tech platforms such as Gpay (e-wallet), Tima (peer-to-peer lending), F88 (financial services), and Gapo (social networking).
