Bayonneta 2 trailer shows off new attack and the re-emerging Lumen Clan

Today’s Nintendo Direct showed off a new trailer for the upcoming sequel to the hack-and-slash adventure game Bayonetta.

Bayonetta 2 continues the story of a 500-year-long feud between two clans, the Umbra Witches and the Lumen Sages. The Lumen Sages were thought to be completely wiped out, but the new trailer shows at least one of them survived. Bayonetta, the witch protagonist, shows off her new powers in the trailer released during today’s Nintendo Direct, as she goes up against the sages from the Lumen clan.

One of these new powers, the Umbran Climax, allows Bayonetta to build up her strength and release one super powerful attack. You can look forward to Bayonetta 2 hitting the Wii U later this year.
