Base, which was founded by former Gojek marketing head Yaumi Fauziah Sugiharta and ex-DBS Bank product manager Ratih Permata Sari, will use the fresh funds to fuel its growth in distribution, customer expansion, and product development.
- In a statement, Base said that its annual revenue grew more than 24x over the last 12 months. The startup explained that the large rise in revenue is due to an initiative that lets loyal consumers receive commissions by selling the company’s products.
- Recently, Base hired Cissylia Stefani-van Leeuwen, a former executive of Gojek and Tokopedia, as its brand director.
- In September 2019, the company secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding in a round led by East Ventures and Skystar Capital.
