World’s top venture capitalists revealed

- Investment research firm CB Insights has released its latest rankings of the world’s top 50 venture capitalists. The top 20 were revealed to The New York Times.
- Topping the list is Bill Gurley of Benchmark Capital, who has notable investments like Uber, GrubHub, and OpenTable.
- In the top 20, Benchmark, Sequoia, and Lightspeed Venture Partners were represented by multiple names.
- Neil Shen (Meituan, DJI) of Sequoia China is the only Asia-based VC in the NYT list. Two women made the rankings: Kirsten Green of Forerunner Ventures (Warby Parker, Bonobos, Dollar Shave Club) and Mary Meeker of KPCB (Spotify, Square, Snap).
